As first reported by Cadillac Society in July, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade received the new Adaptive Beam Headlight technology. A short time later, the feature became unavailable for the start of the 2023 model year. Now, though, Cadillac Society has learned that the feature will be completely unavailable for the remainder of the 2023 model year.
Sources tell Cadillac Society that validation tests of the Adaptive Beam Headlight System are currently ongoing, and the technology has not yet been approved for sale in the U.S. However, it is available for the Escalade in the Canadian market.
Pricing for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade starts at $79,590 for the base Luxury trim with rear-wheel-drive, while the extended-length Escalade ESV starts at $82,590 for the base Luxury trim with rear-wheel-drive. Production of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade, which rides on the luxury marque’s T1 platform, commenced on July 18th at the Arlington plant in Texas.

Do we know if vehicles were sold with adaptive beam headlight assemblies but the feature simply isn’t turned on within the software? If they were built with the capable headlights, GM could push an update to the vehicles (or the dealer could perform an update) turning on the feature. It’d be nice to know…
