2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Gets New Maverick Noir Frost Paint

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing marks the super sedan’s second model year, and Cadillac Society has learned that it will be offered in a new exterior color known as Noir Maverick Frost.

Maverick Noir Frost (production code GNW) will be exclusive to the V-Series Blackwing ultra-high-performance sedans, the CT4-V Blackwing and its larger brother, the CT5-V Blackwing. The new hue replaces Dark Emerald Frost (production code G7W), which was offered for a limited time on the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing before being discontinued. Maverick Noir Frost will cost extra to equip on the 2023 CT4-V Blackwing, but its price has yet to be announced.

Maverick Noir Frost will be available in conjunction with specific interior colorways, including:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black Accents
  • Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents
  • Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents

It will not be offered with the Sangria with Jet Black Accents interior colorway.

As of this writing, there aren’t any photos of the new color, but the “Frost” moniker likely means that it will be another matte hue. If that ends up being the case, it will be the second matte exterior paint to be offered on a CT4-V Blackwing after Dark Emerald Frost, and the fourth matte color to be offered by the luxury marque overall. Crystal White Frost, was offered in 2016, exclusively on the ATS-V and CTS-V Crystal White Frost Edition models. In 2013, 100 units of the CTS-V Coupe were painted in Silver Frost matte.

Beyond Maverick Noir Frost, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will offer other new exterior colors, including Midnight Steel Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Argent Silver Metallic.

As a reminder, the range-topping 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4) rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a 10-speed automatic is optional. Power is routed exclusively through the rear wheels.
