The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing represents the most powerful variation of the luxury marque’s smallest sedan. The subcompact pocket rocket is offered with a choice of 10 exterior colors, including:
The last color on that list, Dark Emerald Frost, has since discontinued after being “built out” for the 2022 model year, making it a rare sight on the CT4-V Blackwing. However, Cadillac Society recently stumbled across a CT4-V Blackwing super sedan for sale bearing the uncommon cool green hue. Notably, Dark Emerald Frost was the only matte-finish color offered on the Blackwing for the 2022 model year, and is only the third matte color to have been offered from the factory in the luxury marque’s history.
This particular CT4-V Blackwing has just 155 miles on the odometer, and it’s up for sale at a Cadillac dealership in Texas. The matte finish perfectly complements the frosty green color and lends the super sedan a sportier look than its gloss-coated counterparts. The paint nicely complements the various black exterior trim elements, along with the subtle bronze brake calipers and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels finished in Satin Graphite.
As previously mentioned, Dark Emerald Frost color has been built out for the 2022 model year, meaning that it’s no longer in production. However, when it was available, it was the most expensive exterior hue available for the Cadillac Blackwing super sedans, adding an additional $3,925 to the vehicle’s price. Currently, it’s not clear if the color will make a comeback for a future Cadillac model, or if it will be replaced by another color. A few months ago, we brought you live photos of a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in Dark Emerald Frost paint.
The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing features a twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LF4), rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. In the unit pictured here, all that power meets the road by way of the optional 10-speed automatic transmission rather than the standard six-speed.
