Cadillac CT4 sales performance during the third quarter of 2020 places the model in last place in its segment by overall sales volume, led by the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and CLA-Class in first for a combined 6,181 deliveries. The BMW 2 Series took second place with 4,190 units, the Acura ILX took fourth place with 3,938 units, and Audi A3 took fifth with 2,555 deliveries.

From a segment share standpoint, the A-Class and CLA-Class accounted for 21 and 12 percent, respectively, which adds up to a combined 33 percent of the segment. The 2 Series accounted for 23 percent segment share, while the Acura and Audi held 21 and 14 percent each. The Cadillac CT4 accounted for an 8 percent share.
The luxury compact car segment (lux C-segment) expanded 11 percent to 18,400 units in Q3 2020.
Cadillac CT4 sales during the third quarter of 2020 represented the very first Q3 deliveries for the new sedan. We posit that volume was stifled by the following two factors:
