Regina King Is Cadillac’s New Brand Ambassador: Video

Back in February, the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade broke cover in Hollywood, California, showing off a completely overhauled fifth generation for the nameplate. The 2021 Escalade also made an appearance in a series of new commercials aired during the Academy Awards, which included a starring role for award-winning actress Regina King. Now, Cadillac has announced King will take on the role of brand ambassador.

King won an Oscar in 2019 for her role in “If Beale Street Could Talk,” as well as an Emmy for her role in “Watchmen.” Additionally, King will make her directorial debut in the upcoming film “One Night in Miami.”

“Emmy and Oscar-winning actress Regina King will serve as the brand’s ambassador and bring forth the 2021 Escalade with first-to-market technologies and bold design – part of the vehicle’s proven recipe to regain leadership in the luxury full-size SUV space,” the automaker states in a press release.

With the announcement, Cadillac also said that it was introducing a new ad campaign for the latest 2021 Escalade titled “Never Stop Arriving,” which is set to launch in October.

“The Cadillac experience is all about ambition, being hopeful and being relentless as you work toward your goals,” King said. “Cadillac looks to make every journey extraordinary, and we all should be striving for that.”

As a reminder, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is built atop an all-new architecture and features a new independent four-link rear suspension. The SUV offers a completely restyled exterior and interior, the latter of which is highlighted by a curved Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) screen on top of the dash. Engine options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 gas units (engine code L87) and the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (engine code LM2). Both engine options mate to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Production takes place in Arlington, Texas.
