Cadillac CT4-V Now Arriving In Dealerships

As we covered several weeks ago, the first units of the Cadillac CT4 luxury sedan have already started rolling out for delivery. Now, we have confirmation that the first units of the performance-oriented Cadillac CT4-V are rolling out as well.

Debuting last June alongside the larger Cadillac CT5-V, the Cadillac CT4-V is the brand’s latest sporty subcompact sedan, breaking from the standard CT4 model thanks to a number of performance-flavored aesthetic upgrades, such as a standard 18-inch alloy wheels, a unique mesh grille treatment, a rear spoiler, and quad exhaust tips.

Backing the hot-to-trot appearance is a turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder, which doles out as much as 325 horsepower and 381 pound-feet of torque. Harnessing the muscle is a 10-speed automatic transmission, with RWD as standard, and AWD as an available option. Rear-drive models mount summer-only performance tires, while the all-wheel models swap the summer rubber for all-season tires.

With a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution and upgraded suspension, including Magnetic Ride control when equipped with RWD and passive ZF MVS dampers when equipped with AWD, plus big Brembo brakes up front and a limited-slip differential in the rear, the Cadillac CT4-V can handle in the corners. Under the skin, we find the Alpha 2 vehicle platform, which is an evolved form of the Alpha platform used with the Cadillac ATS and CTS, and also provides the bones for the Cadillac CT5-V.

What’s more, the Cadillac CT4-V also comes with all the requisite finery in the cabin, such as high-end materials, not to mention a variety of top-shelf tech offerings like Caddy’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous drive tech.

Pricing starts $45,490 for RWD models, and $46,490 for AWD models. Note that those prices include the $995 Destination Freight Charge.

With the CT4-V now headed to dealers, attention now turns towards the forthcoming Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. Also known as the “next-level” CT4-V, this go-faster model variant is tipped to mount the same twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 as the Cadillac ATS-V, as well as more-aggressive styling, wider tires, and even a six-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the debut of the new CT4-V Blackwing.

Stay tuned for more info on the new hotness set to drop shortly, and make sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac CT4 news and ongoing Cadillac news coverage.
