Cadillac CT4 Now In Transit To Dealers

As we covered previously, units of the Cadillac CT5-V have begun to arrive at dealers. Now, according to Cadillac Society sources, shipments of units for the Cadillac CT4 are ramping up as well.

With deliveries of the Cadillac CT4 now en route, several Cadillac dealer websites now show units of the four-door with “in transit” status.

A few weeks ago, we covered the news that Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, had announced that it was adding a second shift to Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in order to support production of the Cadillac CT4. In addition to producing the CT4, the Lansing Grand River facility is also responsible for production of the larger Cadillac CT5 sedan. The new shift is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2020.

The online configurator for the 2020 Cadillac CT4 went live earlier this year, giving potential buyers and fans a chance to spec theirs to taste using a long list of different options and extras.

The 2020 Cadillac CT4 debuted last year, offered up as an indirect replacement for the Cadillac ATS and aimed at rivals in the luxury C-segment like the Audi A3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan, and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class “four-door coupe.”

Engine options include two separate turbocharged four-cylinders, starting with a 2.0L lump producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s also an optional 2.7L engine on offer with the Premium Luxury trim and equipped as standard on the V-Series, throwing down with 309 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque in the Premium Luxury, and 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque in the CT4-V. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations are available.

Pricing starts at $33,990 for the base-level Luxury model.

Rest assured that we will follow this story as it develops. For now, make sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac CT4 news and 24/7 Cadillac news coverage.
