2020 Cadillac XT6 Seats 7 Passengers Standard, 6 Optional

When Cadillac announced the all-new, 2020 XT6 crossover two weeks ago at a private media event ahead of the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, it was clear that the new crossover would feature three rows of seating. But what wasn’t clear was how many passengers it can actually seat, nor if it would be offered in more than one seating configuration. In fact, Cadillac didn’t mention a single thing about passenger capacity in its announcement of the XT6.

So, we reached out to Cadillac for clarification and here’s what we got in respone: maximum seating in the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is 7 passengers via a second row bench seat, while seating for six passengers is available with optional second-row captain’s chairs.

Here’s how the passenger occupancy breaks down:

First row: 2 passengers (driver and passenger)
Second row:
- 3 passengers via standard bench seat
- 2 passengers via optional captain’s chairs
Third row: 2 passengers
