Greetings I just got a 2022 Cadillac Escalade last week and a few weird things are happening, The most bothersome is that I can’t seem to select an individual song while driving and connected to my iPhone via bluetooth OR Apple Car Play. I get a “can’t browse music while driving” message. The only thing I can do is change the song by pushing up or down on one of the arrow buttons, and that just selects a random song from thousands on my phone. Every car I have ever been in with Bluetooth has allowed me to select an individual song while driving, and to not allow this is to invite the driver to grab his phone and look at it while driving, which is obviously the most dangerous option. Am I missing something? Has Cadillac really removed the ability to select a song, album, or artist while driving, or is this feature accessed in some other way I’m not seeing? And if that’s the case, why do they still allow me to adjust climate controls and other settings, which take even more attention away from driving because those controls are not on the wheel?
