It shares quite a few design elements with the Cadillac Lyriq luxury electric crossover, namely the front “grille” LED lighting display, which features similar vertical lighting signatures on both sides, horizontal accent lights, and a lighting pattern across the glossy black “grille” display.
The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq in production form was unveiled in October 2022. Each unit of the Celestiq is specially commissioned and hand-built with materials and details specially selected by the customer, who will work hand-in-hand with their preferred dealer and the Cadillac design team.
The Celestiq rides available 23-inch forged aluminum wheels with 23-inch summer-only Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires designed specifically for Cadillac with EV efficiency in mind. And speaking of efficiency, the Ultium technology underpinning the ultra luxury sedan facilitates a 200 kW DC fast charging system that can add up to an estimated 78 miles of range in just 10 minutes at certain charging stations.
Up top, the Cadillac Celestiq features a roof with SPD SmartGlass, split into four quadrants of variable lighting, enabling passengers to control their respective zone’s opacity. The Celestiq is also one of the first vehicles to feature Ultra Cruise, which is capable of handling up to 95 percent of driving scenarios without human input.
Assembly of the Cadillac Celestiq began at the GM Global Technical Center in late 2023.
