2026 Cadillac CT5 Gets New V-Performance Package

2026 Cadillac CT5 Gets New V-Performance Package

Cadillac Society patrons will already very well know that Cadillac markets the CT5 sedan in China, albeit in a very different way than it does in the U.S., with no V-Series models offered whatsoever. Now, in an effort to inspire enthusiasm for its upcoming F1 debut next season, the 2026 Cadillac CT5 sees the addition of a new V-Performance Package.

Models equipped with the package will feature a new exterior color dubbed Hurricane Matte Gray along with an exclusive red key fob and high-performance Brembo brake calipers finished in red and decorated with the V-Series badge. Attendees of the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, which took place during the final week of November, had the opportunity to see a CT5 equipped with the new package during its debut.

The package is exclusive to buyers in China, and is only available on the range-topping Track Performance Edition trim, which is sort of like a diet CT5-V, from which it borrows several components, including the Magnetic Ride Control suspension, eLSD limited-slip differential, Brembo V-Series four-piston brake calipers, and FNC tech for the brakes.

If you’re reading this in North America, don’t feel too bad, as the contents included in the CT5 V-Performance Package are more visual than mechanical, and are already included in the CT5-V sold here. The catch is that the CT5-V is equipped with a potent twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine (production code LGY) while all Chinese-market CT5 models cradle one engine, and one engine only – the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY).

As a reminder, Cadillac is discontinuing the current-generation CT5 and CT4 sedans after 2026. However, the luxury marque has officially confirmed that the larger CT5 will return for a second-generation soon thereafter.
