According to a newly released service bulletin, the Cadillac Escalade IQ and Cadillac Lyriq may be impacted by an issue.
Customer Satisfaction Program N252502891 specifically applies to 2025 Escalade IQ models as well as 2024-2025 Cadillac Lyriq models, and specifies that the issue may stem from an internal differential nut that is either improperly installed or missing altogether.
Due to this potential problem, any Escalade IQ or Lyriq that is brought into a dealer service center must be inspected before returning to the road. If the vehicle does need a replacement module, Cadillac says it will take 2 – 8 hours to install the new unit. In this case, the luxury marque will make the repair at no cost to the owner, regardless of vehicle age or mileage, as long as the service is rendered before August 31st, 2027.
When it comes to any new or used Cadillac Escalade IQ and Lyriq units that are currently in dealer inventory, the vehicles must be inspected and repaired (if necessary) prior to any sale. Additionally, these units also cannot be traded to other dealers or sent to auction before being fixed.
Vehicles in need of repair will be flagged in the dealer’s Investigate Vehicle History database. Owners of affected vehicles will also receive a notice in the mail, advising them to schedule an appointment.
It’s important to note that this service bulletin is different from a recall. While there are several differences between the two, the most critical one is warranty coverage. If a repair is requested after the aforementioned date, the owner may have to cover the costs themselves.
Shoppers should also bear in mind that this bulletin does not apply to any 2026 units. In that regard, new car buyers who just took delivery of a Lyriq-V – or any other 2026 Lyriq or Escalade IQ – do not need to take action.
