The Cadillac Celestiq Is Longer Than An Escalade, Almost As Long As An Escalade ESV

Don’t be misled by its sleek, fastback-like profile – the Cadillac Celestiq is actually a remarkably large vehicle. The ultra-luxury electric sedan is longer than almost all Cadillacs, longer than the Escalade but just slightly shorter than the extended-length Cadillac Escalade ESV.

A look at the exterior dimensions of the Cadillac Celestiq reveals that it has a wheelbase of over 130 inches. That’s over 10 inches longer than the regular-length Escalade and a mere four inches shy of the gargantuan Escalade ESV. In terms of overall length, the Celestiq measures in at 217.2 inches, which has the “regular” Escalade beat by over five inches. Overall width, meanwhile, comes in at 81.9 inches with its mirrors folded in, which is 0.8 inches wider than the Escalade.

Of course, as the luxury marque’s full-size SUV offering, the Escalade towers over the Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan in terms of height, measuring in at 76.7 inches compared to 57.2 inches for the Celestiq. But even so, the Celestiq gives the Escalade a run for its money when it comes to its overall size. In short, the Celestiq is massive for its stature.

There’s nothing about the Celestiq that’s small, including its power output and price tag. The ultra-luxury electric sedan is motivated by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) propulsion system and a 111 kWh battery pack. The combination delivers 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. All that power and luxury comes at a price – the Celestiq will start at $340,000.

Built almost entirely by hand at the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, the Celestiq boasts an almost unlimited number of customization options, but customers don’t need to feel overwhelmed by decision making and have the option to choose from several design themes as a starting point, including AuroraMagnetic, Mist and Vale. Buyers are guided through the design process at the Cadillac House at Vanderbilt, where they can also opt to take delivery of their ultra-luxury electric sedan.
