The Cadillac Society Take

The slight increase in Cadillac Mexico sales during July stabilizes the luxury brand’s commercial performance in the Latin American country, finally ending the negative streak of prior months. Despite seeing a slight increase of only one unit on a year-over-year basis, the performance still represents an improvement, putting an end to three consecutive months in the red in the local market.

Cadillac Mexico’s momentum during July 2024 was driven by a healthy increase in sales of the Cadillac XT4. The improvement is due to the launch of the refreshed model, which continues to reverse substantial declines seen earlier in the year. Even so, the 17 deliveries of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 represent a setback from the 25 units delivered in June.

What’s more, the Cadillac Escalade – which is typically the luxury marque’s best-selling model in Mexico and in the U.S. – was in the red, as sales slid 16 percent.

The five deliveries of the Cadillac Lyriq helped offset the Escalade’s double-digit decline. The marque’s first battery-electric crossover continues to maintain modest volumes below 10 units. Finally, sales of the Cadillac XT5 remained flat, with its eight deliveries being the same as in May.
