2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Gets New Precision Package: Video

The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is already the most track-ready sedan in the luxury marque’s lineup, packing a supercharged V8 engine that throws power – 668 horses, 659 pound-feet of torque – exclusively to the rear wheels. Caddy is now upping the ante with the new Precision Package, a chassis package geared toward making the luxury super sedan even more of a threat on the racetrack than it already is.

The Precision Package was designed to improve the CT5-V Blackwing’s roadholding abilities, increasing path precision and cornering speed without sacrificing the luxurious ride that defines a Cadillac vehicle.

Features in this optional pack include:

  • Increased spring rates
  • A larger front stabilizer bar
  • Revised suspension bushings
  • New front steering knuckles and new rear suspension toe links, enabling more aggressive wheel alignment for track usage
  • Recalibrated subsystems, including Magnetic Ride Control dampers, steering, chassis controls and Electronic Limited Slip Differential
  • Carbon ceramic brake package

“We built this vehicle to set records on some of toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac. “This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds – both on road and track.”

As a reminder, the CT5-V Blackwing underwent a midcycle refresh for the 2025 model year, highlighted by a revamped front end. The luxury super sedan – along with the rest of the CT5 range – now features vertically stacked LED headlights accented by an uninterrupted vertical lighting signature present on the outermost corners of the front fascia. It also features Mondrian pattern etching, just like the V-Series insignia itself, and it also boasts unique walk-up lighting to “greet” the driver as they approach, along with walk-away lighting choreography.

Inside, the refreshed model features a new 33-inch, curved LED color touchscreen display, an enhanced (optional) Performance Data Recorder with input from racing-obsessed GM engineers and designers, plus a new Performance in-vehicle app. The 2025 model year also gains three new exterior colors – Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.

Production for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will begin at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan in early 2025, while production of the “regular” 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing began in mid-July 2024. Pricing and availability for the Precision Package has not yet been announced, but it’s worth noting that the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing starts at $96,990.

  1. You have the production date wrong on this article. Supposed to be happening now for the 2025 models, not February 2025. You have previously written the production of the updated Blackwing was to begin in July of 2024
