The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ adds a new chapter to the iconic luxury SUV’s history, propelling it into the future with a battery electric drivetrain. Revealed back in August 2023, the Escalade IQ will begin rolling off the assembly line later this year, and Cadillac Society has learned exactly when production is scheduled to kick off.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the start of regular production (SORP) of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will begin on October 7th, 2024 at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant (also known as Factory Zero). As usual, please keep in mind that this date is subject to change. In fact, the SORP date is later than what was announced by Cadillac, which first anounced that it would begin to be built in Summer 2024.
Outside, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ features a faux chevron-shaped “grille” with angled styling lines thanks to built-in LEDs that direct the eye to the back-lit monochrome crest in the center. The grille itself is framed by vertical lighting elements, which contain the daytime running lamps (DRLs) and headlamps, along with horizontally oriented turn signals. Out back, the model boasts the luxury marque’s signature vertical taillights, albeit executed in a two-tier fashion.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ rides on the BT1 platform and is capable of delivering a maximum 450 miles of driving range on a single charge, along with 680 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque in Normal Mode. Engaging Max Mode coaxes 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque from the electric driveline.
Other mechanical highlights for the Escalade IQ include Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Adaptive Air Ride Suspension, along with Four-Wheel Steer, as first reported by Cadillac Society. The latter reduces the model’s turning radius to 39.4 feet, allowing for greater maneuverability in tight areas such as parking spaces.
Offered in Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Sport 1, and Sport 2 trims, pricing for the full-size electric luxury SUV starts at $130,000.

We will see many of this Cadillac Escalade IQ next year at the Academy Awards “Red Carpet” arrivals, as it is very attractive to many movie stars for its silent and clean ride.

Build in bull bars around the grill and head lamps can get unique design and safety. Rear side too. Both of Bumpers need round or square bars only….

I still say entry price point much too high, considering the ICE Escalades have much simpler trims and much lower entry points.
We will have to see how sales develop, since I’m sure GM is counting on being somewhat original will command a high price point. Looks like I’ll have to wait for a Chevy Tahoe EV to get something simpler.

If I see the word “this” or “these” in a headline, I refuse to click on it.

I guess that rhetoric didn’t work in this case, huh?

I guess Cadillac didn’t get the memo….Electric vehicles are not selling, no one wants them any more…..I’ll never own one…..what we need is a new CT6 flagship sedan…..
