2025 Cadillac XT4 Will Not Offer Luxury Trim Level

Earlier this year, Cadillac Society reported that the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 would drop its base Luxury trim level, making the Premium Luxury trim the new entry-level option. We’ve now learned that the 2025 Cadillac XT4 will follow suit, deleting the base Luxury model from the luxury crossover’s lineup as Caddy streamlines its trim level offerings.

Pricing for the 2025 model year is not yet available, but we should note that the 2024 XT4 Premium Luxury FWD has a starting price of $42,690, including the $1,195 destination freight charge. It’s likely that pricing for the 2025 XT4 Premium Luxury will be similar to that of its 2024 model year predecessor.

The XT4 received a thorough refresh for the 2024 model year, sporting a new front fascia with a new grille and new vertically arranged headlights. The rear end was also massaged to feature new reflectors and a new lower fascia. Inside, the cockpit has been completely overhauled to feature a massive 33-inch high-resolution LED color touchscreen display spanning the gauge cluster and center stack. The display was lifted directly from the Cadillac Lyriq

The single engine option will continue to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY). The boosted gasoline four-cylinder is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to the nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard while all-wheel-drive is optional.

It’s also worth noting that production of the refreshed XT4 will be offline for most of the 2025 calendar year at the Cadillac Fairfax plant in Kansas. The facility will be retooled in order to support the production of another product from Cadillac parent company, the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV. Once this process is complete, the XT4 will resume assembly at the plant.
