The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq was recently announced for France, marking the luxury marque’s reentry into the European country that holds some of its heritage. Overseas, Caddy has chosen to move away from the traditional dealer network used in North America, and will instead open a permanent Cadillac City “experience center” in the nation’s capital of Paris at the end of May 2024.
Much like the Cadillac City center already open in Zurich, Switzerland, the Paris-based facility will provide customers the opportunity to not only test drive the Lyriq (and future Cadillac EVs), but to also customize the model to their desires. The Cadillac City center will be located in the famous Place de l’Opéra, which was designed by architect Charles Rohault de Fleury, providing the perfect environment for Caddy to take up residence.
“Starting May 30th, the Lyriq will have a permanent address in Paris when we open the Cadillac City experience center at 7 Rue Meyerbeer on Place de l’Opéra. The space has a classical layout that blends utilitarianism with functionalism,” said Pere Brugal, Chief Commercial Officer of GM Europe. “A long imposing entryway welcomes guests into a bright conservatory before leading them into the luxurious world of Cadillac – classic yet modern at the same time.”
“The architect’s vision of bringing together style and function in perfect harmony reflects the Cadillac ethos of blending design and technology to create a superior driving experience, ” he added.
The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq became available for purchase in France on March 23rd, 2024. Buyers are able to customize and purchase their Lyriq entirely online for now, but will also be able to work through the buying process at the new Cadillac City center in Paris once it opens.
