The Cadillac Society Take
The notable drop in Cadillac Canada sales during the first quarter of the year becomes the luxury marque’s third consecutive quarterly drop in the Canadian market, accentuating the loss of volume with a rate of decline higher than the previous ones.
Once again, most models offered by Cadillac in Canada saw notable drops in sales volume during the first quarter – including top-selling nameplates like the Cadillac XT4, XT5 and Escalade. Combined, these three models lost almost 900 units on a year-over-year basis, compounding the declines posted by the marque’s two sedans. Regardless, the XT4 remained Cadillac’s best-selling model in the country, and its performance should only improve with the more widespread availability of the refreshed 2024 model.
By contrast, the Cadillac Escalade ESV experienced a slight gain of one percent while the new Cadillac Lyriq marked another noteworthy performance by surpassing 300 deliveries during the quarter. In fact, the all-electric crossover managed to outsell the Escalade ESV and Cadillac XT6 for the second consecutive quarter, though the Lyriq underperformed its record 381 deliveries reached during Q4 2023.

I’m a retired Marketing and Advertising Executive so When I look at year over year sales results, I ask myself why? In many cases it ain’t easy to figure out why sales are down, but in this case, It’s a snap! There is NO ADVERTISING!!! Hey Cadillac management, you can’t expect to sell if you don’t advertise. You can’t watch TV for more than an hour without seeing commercials for Audi, Mercedes, Lexus or BMW and guess what…they sell cars. Please find a VP of Marketing who understands Marketing 101, before it’s too late!!!

Indeed. As with the ATS, CT6, etc. The Marketing dept failed the Design & Engineering dept

Offer the Revised XT5 for 2025 and the sales will rise.
T.S.
Also Cadillac seems to be the only Company who has not revised their product so many people are leaving Cadillac like myself. Yeah they may new colors but thats nothing when you haven’t revised your product in years. For example the xt5 and xt6 are lacking in design. They still have that small infotainment while others have a more bigger and updated screen. Change that and maybe the sales will increase if not I will definitely be leaving after having been with Cadillac for over 10yrs.
