Cadillac Escalade Truck Rendering Looks Right At Home Off-Road

Cadillac pulled the plug on the Cadillac Escalade EXT – a pickup version of the luxury marque’s flagship SUV – more than a decade ago, but Cadillac Society just can’t put the idea to rest. Four years ago, we rendered a fifth-generation Escalade truck, reimagining the latest generation of the full-size luxury SUV with a pickup bed. Just a few months later, the luxury marque itself released sketches of a hypothetical Cadillac truck. More recently, we borrowed the high-performance Escalade-V and gave it the EXT treatment. Now, we’re imagining what a more off-road focused Escalade truck might look like. 

Unlike our prior rendering of a make-believe Escalade-V EXT, this Escalade truck is quite a bit more rugged. It’s shod with Duratec Mud Terrain tires for plenty of grip in the rough stuff. A set of rock sliders and a high-clearance bumper help it navigate on the trail. To make it even more capable off-road, we’ve also treated the Escalade truck to an air suspension that can raise or lower the pickup at will, providing the perfect ride height for any circumstance (as pictured, the Escalade truck is currently in its lowest setting).

The front end of our hypothetical Escalade truck features the luxury marque’s signature lighting elements, making it instantly recognizable as an Escalade. It also features a more aggressive splitter for a meaner look overall. However, for those interested in tackling nastier terrain than the splitter can handle, it is removable to achieve higher clearance, and can be easily reattached once back in civilization.

Alas, we aren’t aware of any plans to bring a Cadillac Escalade truck back to market, and the luxury marque recently abandoned the trademark filing for the Escalade EXT, signaling that its fate is all but sealed. Even so, there’s ho harm in daydreaming about what it would look like if it were resurrected.
