New Base 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Launches In China

Chinese customers in the market for a more affordable version of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq now have a new base trim level to choose from. Known as the Cadillac Lyriq Luxury Standard Range, the new trim recently launched in the Asian country.

The new 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Standard Range is outwardly indistinguishable from the higher-tiered Luxury trim, meaning it retains the exact same exterior design elements and dimensions. However, it doesn’t include as many tech features as the Luxury trim while also making less power, allowing it to reach a lower price point, making it more affordable and therefore more attractive to a larger customer base.

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Standard Range is outfitted with a rear-wheel drivetrain and a permanent magnet motor that delivers 250 kW or 335 horsepower and 440 Nm or 325 pound-feet of torque. This is slightly less than the Luxury trim’s 342 horsepower.

However, those who opt for the 2024 Lyriq Luxury Standard Range don’t have to worry about sacrificing when it comes to the electric crossover’s range-per-charge, as the new base model is capable of traveling 502 km or 312 miles on a full charge, which is exactly the same as the Luxury trim.

Specifically, the new Lyriq Standard Range starts at 297,700 yuan, which is roughly $41,500 USD at current exchange rates. That starting price is $11,000 less than the Luxury trim, making it a more viable option for those interested in the luxury electric crossover. The new base variant of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is currently available for sale in Cadillac’s new IQ Store dealer network in China as part of the country’s new “LOVE” IQ EV Portfolio in the country.
