Cadillac Celestiq To Get Slightly Fancier Key Fob After All

Recently, Cadillac Society had the chance to check out the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq in person, combing over many details of the production ready ultra-luxury sedan, including what its key fob would look like. However, we’ve since learned that the key fob on display is not indicative of what the actual device will look like.

Cadillac Society reached out for more information regarding the production ready key fob that will start up the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq, and a spokesperson for the luxury marque explained that the device we saw is slightly differed from what will ultimately make it to customers.

“We intend on painting every part black and offering a more premium look on the production Celestiq key fob,” a Cadillac spokesperson informed us in a statement. “Each fob will also come with a metal NFC [near field communication] card as we distinguish Celestiq as the flagship for the brand.”

In other words, imagine the key fob pictured above, but finished in black.

In other words, the Celestiq key fob will not feature a body colored back plate, but will instead be completely blacked out for a high-end appearance. As for what that means, exactly, only time will tell, as the Cadillac spokesperson said that there are currently no further details regarding the key fob to share.

As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq features a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive propulsion system. Cadillac estimates that this configuration is good for approximately 300 miles of driving range on a single charge while delivering a whopping 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Under the sheetmetal is the BEV3 platform, an architecture that was developed from the ground up to exclusively underpin battery electric vehicles.

The electric ultra-luxury sedan will be hand assembled in very small numbers at the GM Global Technical center in Michigan and carries a $340,000 starting price
