2024 Cadillac Lyriq Introduced In Mexico

The Cadillac Lyriq is spearheading the luxury marque’s transition to an all-electric lineup, and that includes introducing the luxury electric crossover in international markets like Switzerland. Now, buyers in Mexico will have the chance to get their hands on the Lyriq, as the EV was recently introduced there.

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will land in Mexico toward the end of the 2023 calendar year. It is the first vehicle underpinned by the BEV3 platform to be introduced in Mexico, and is also the first to utilize Ultium battery technology and Ultium Drive motors.

Based around the Sport trim level, the Mexican-market 2024 Cadillac Lyriq features one available driveline with two electric motors for an all-wheel-drive configuration. This setup is rated at 373 kW – equivalent to 500 horsepower  – and 450 pound-feet of torque, offering an estimated 500 km (310 miles) of range from a full charge.

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is offered in six colors, five of which can be paired with a contrasting Black-painted roof, along with a duotone interior. Standard equipment includes a dual-level portable charge cord, along with the installation of a level two home charger at the buyer’s residence.

“Aligned with GM’s vision of a zero-emissions future, Lyriq sets the standard for the future of Cadillac, elevating the luxury SUV experience with cutting-edge technology and the highest quality materials, now in a range of brand new electric vehicles,” said Teresa Vera, Marketing Manager for Cadillac at GM Mexico. “It is a particular convergence of art, technology and performance, which can only be described as the Cadillac of electric vehicles.”

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq will be available in Mexico in December 2024. It will be offered for sale at the 18 Cadillac EV storefronts in the country, and will carry a starting price of 1,899,000 pesos, roughly equivalent to $104,300 USD (no, that’s not a typo).
