The 2024 Cadillac CT6 made its debut for the Chinese market earlier this year, breathing new life into the luxury nameplate with an all-new second generation. Cadillac Society has kept an eye out for the new CT6 on public roads, and we recently spotted this example finished in black.
To start, the second-generation Cadillac CT6 features an all-new design over its first-generation counterpart. Clearly visible in this vehicle’s striking black livery, the grille features a new design that mimics the shape of the Cadillac crest itself, framed by new vertical LED headlamps. Here, we also have new horizontal daytime running lights (DRLs) extending down either side of the front fascia, drawing the eye to the grille.
The profile shows that the second-gen CT6 has adopted a sleek, fastback-like profile, straying from the prior model’s more traditional three-box sedan-like shape. The new model features a smooth transition from the slope of the rear window to the deck lid and integrated spoiler. There’s also an all-new, unique center high mounted brake light (CHMSL) at the rear that spans the full width of the deck lid, emphasizing its width along with boomerang-shaped taillights, mimicking the shape of the headlights.
Slightly visible in these photos is the interior of the all-new Cadillac CT6, which is tan in the case of this model. Not seen is the curved 33-inch display that spans the digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel to the center infotainment screen. This unique screen is pulled straight from the Cadillac Lyriq.
At launch, the all-new Cadillac CT6 is offered exclusively with in rear-wheel-drive with fifty-fifty weight distribution, harnessing the luxury marque’s turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), which is rated at 233 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission.
At this time, we know of no plans to bring the revamped CT6 to any markets beyond China, meaning that the all-new model is unlikely to make landfall in the United States, despite there (seemingly) being a market for it.
