The 2024 Cadillac XT4 will receive a mid-cycle refresh for the small luxury crossover. Last month, Cadillac Society snapped some photos of a prototype undergoing testing, giving us an early look at the forthcoming XT4, albeit heavily cloaked in camouflage. Despite all that camo, we’re still able to get a decent view of the crossover’s taillight design.
The bulky vinyl camo hides the finer details of the 2024 Cadillac XT4’s exterior styling, but the taillights are visible through mesh cutouts at the rear of the vehicle. The cutouts in the camo reveal an L-shaped taillight assembly that slopes slightly downward into the liftgate, while the vertical portion extends toward the vehicle’s roof.
The overall layout is very similar to that of the current, pre-refresh Cadillac XT4, but the lights do appear to be more slanted, with the vertical sections leaning more toward the outside of the vehicle while the horizontal part slopes slightly more downward.
Even so, the XT4’s square-shaped inner lighting graphics seem to have carried over into this 2024 Cadillac XT4 prototype, along with the Neutral Density taillamp color scheme for this Sport model.
Beyond the revised tail lights, the 2024 XT4 will feature revised front and rear fascias, complete with new lighting elements. Additionally, the wheels on the prototype – which seems to be a Sport trim – appear appear to be new, as the current XT4 range doesn’t offer the pattern seen here. Behind those unique wheels are red brake calipers, which were previously offered as an optional upgrade for the 2021 model year before being discontinued in 2022.
We expect the 2024 Cadillac XT4 to retain the current model’s single engine option: the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY). Under the hood of the pre-refreshed 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 model year XT4s, the boosted gasoline four-cylinder is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It’s entirely possible that the refreshed model will see a boost in those figures.
Inside, we expect the 2024 Cadillac XT4 to feature a revised cockpit, complete with a curved, horizontally-oriented center screen much like the Cadillac Lyriq.

You might be missing something. The inner graphic looks the same, but the outer and inner edges appear to be different. Look (veeery) closely.
