A few months ago, Cadillac Society reported that both the Radiant and Onyx exterior accent packages for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade were no longer available to order. While the Onyx Package has since made a return, we’ve now learned that the Radiant Package has been cut from the luxury SUV for the remainder of the 2022 model year.
When the Radiant Package was available, it was optional for Cadillac Escalade models with Premium Luxury or Premium Luxury Platinum trim. The exterior accent package added $3,910 to the price of a Premium Luxury model and $3,755 to Premium Luxury Platinum models. It was an LPO-level package, meaning that it was installed by a dealer rather than on the assembly line at the Cadillac Arlington plant.
The Radiant Package essentially added several (brightly-finished) elements to the full-size luxury SUV, including the following content (relevant production code listed in parentheses):
Previously, sources told Cadillac Society that Radiant Package availability was constrained due to supplier issues with the 22-inch 12-spoke Chrome alloy wheels that are included as part of the pack. However, it’s not clear if this factored into its removal from the Cadillac Escalade for the remainder of the 2022 model year. It’s also currently unknown if the Radiant Package will become available again for the 2023 model year. We should note that we do expect it to return, albeit perhaps with a different set of wheels.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade represents the second model year of the full-size luxury SUV’s fifth generations. It is offered with two engine options. The first is the standard, naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LM2), rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options bolt to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission driving either the two rear wheels (2WD) or all four wheels via the optional 4WD system.

One of four new colors for the 2025 model year.
And it now represents the best value in its segment.
A curious sighting from a video of the Cadillac design studio.
