Last month, Cadillac Society reported that Cadillac park assist features would be limited on all of the luxury marque’s crossover offerings – the XT4, XT5 and XT6 – due to the ongoing scarcity of microchips. Now, as the worldwide semiconductor shortage persists, we’ve learned that the feature deletion will affect the rest of the lineup, too.
Units of the CT4 and CT5 luxury sedans, as well as the full-size Escalade luxury SUV, will now have limited Cadillac park assist availability. The change will go into effect on vehicles that will be built starting on January 24th.
The table below shows the vehicles impacted by this change, as well as which park assist feature will be impacted.

Some units of the 2022 Cadillac CT4 will be built without Rear Park Assist as well as Front and Rear Park Assist until supply constraints are lifted. Rear Park Assist is usually standard on the base Luxury trim level, while Front and Rear Park Assist is usually standard on Premium Luxury, Sport, as well as on the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing.
In a similar vein, some units of the 2022 Cadillac CT5 will be built without Rear Park Assist as well as Front and Rear Park Assist. Like the CT4, Rear Park Assist is usually standard on the CT5 Luxury trim level, while Front and Rear Park Assist is usually standard on Premium Luxury, Sport, and on the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing.
Cadillac park assist features will also be withheld from some units of the 2022 Escalade and Escalade ESV, which will be assembled without Front and Rear Park Assist. When available, both of these features are standard on the Luxury trim level, while Premium Luxury and Sport trims get Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, which is automatically equipped on vehicles that feature Super Cruise. So far, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist is unaffected by the microchip shortage.
At this time, it’s not clear if Cadillac park assist features will be able to be retrofitted on vehicles that were assembled without them. It is also not clear if the luxury marque will offer a credit toward the purchase price of affected vehicles.
