The online configurators for the 2022 Cadillac CT5 and 2022 Cadillac CT5-V went live on the luxury marque’s website this week, giving prospective buyers the opportunity to build and price their ideal luxury sedans.
The 2022 Cadillac CT5 and CT5-V configurator tools give users the ability to choose their preferred trim level, exterior color, interior color combinations and materials, among plenty of other exterior and interior accents and accessories, all while providing a breakdown of what each option will cost. Additionally, the CT5-V configurator allows users to select the luxury sedan’s ultra-high-performance variant, the CT5-V Blackwing.
Minor changes are in store for the 2022 Cadillac CT5 range. Three paint colors have been deleted, including Velocity Red, Evergreen Metallic, and Dark Blue Moon Metallic. In their place are three new colors: Blaze Orange metallic, Electric Blue and Dark Emerald Frost. Also new for the 2022 model year are the Onyx Package, which features black exterior trim accents, as well as the Radiant Package, which brings bright chrome accents to the luxury sedan’s exterior. The 2022 Cadillac CT5 also gains more standard active safety features, including as Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Park assist.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac CT5 offers three gasoline engine choices. The 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. The twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY) is optional on the CT5 Premium Luxury, where it makes 335 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The boosted six is standard on the CT5-V, where it makes 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.
All-new for the 2022 model year is the ultra-high-performance CT5-V Blackwing. The super sedan is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), delivering a blistering 668 horsepower and 669 pound-feet of torque. Besides its menacing engine and exhaust note, the CT5-V Blackwing is recognizable from the “regular” CT5 by unique front and rear fascias, a performance braking system, and two optional carbon fiber aero packages.
