Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, CT5-V Blackwing Shown Camo-Free: Video

Cadillac has just dropped a new video of the upcoming Cadillac Blackwing super sedans – the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and 2022 CT5-V Blackwing.

Airing during the broadcast of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, where Cadillac is well-represented, the 60-second clip shows nighttime driving footage of each vehicle racing around the track, along with healthy bouts of supercharger, turbocharger, and exhaust sounds. Throwback footage of Cadillac racing at 24 Hours of Le Mans is projected on stretches of the track and on the vehicles, serving as inspiration for both of the upcoming Cadillac Blackwing models.

At the very end, the video shows both cars in full light and without camouflage for the very first time. Both models will be revealed during a livestream on Monday, February 1st, 2021 at 7 p.m. ET, during which times we’ll have complete details of both models.

As Cadillac Society was the first to report, order books for the new Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will open in conjunction with the models’ debut on February 1st. Each Cadillac Blackwing reservation will require a $1,000 refundable deposit, with pre-orders limited at 250 units per vehicle (250 units for the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and 250 units for the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing), or 500 units total.

“Starting at 7:30 p.m. ET on Cadillac.com, customers can use the Reserve Yours page to reserve one of the first 250 CT4-V Blackwings or 250 CT5-V Blackwings,” the luxury marque states in a recent press release. “Given their limited quantity and collectability, all V-Series Blackwings are VIN-sequenced by year, model and transmission.”

In addition to securing one of the first VINs, customers who grab one of the initial 500 Cadillac Blackwing reservations will also receive a high-performance steering wheel with a unique serialized plate etched with a five-digit portion of the vehicle’s VIN sequence, as well as a two-day experience at the Cadillac V-Series Academy driving school at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, Nevada.

Those customers unable to secure one of the first 500 Cadillac Blackwing reservations will have an opportunity to be placed on a waitlist to be contacted by their local dealer as soon as their chosen vehicle is available. Deliveries will begin in late summer of this year, and additional units of the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will be made available later.
