The Cadillac XT4 premium compact crossover is set to arrive in Europe on October 10th, as the automaker recently announced.
“The first-ever Cadillac XT4 gives us access to a segment where Cadillac has never been before,” says Cadillac Europe Managing Director, Conark Shah. “With our compact crossover we are going to attract new and existing customer alike who are shopping for an outstanding automobile that offers everything that sets a true Cadillac apart from the competition with dimensions and powertrains that are tailored for Europe.”
European customers will be offered two engine options, starting with the turbodiesel 2.0L I4 (engine code LSQ) that was “developed in and for Europe,” and followed by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 gas-powered unit (engine code LSY) “that will soon complete the portfolio.” Customers will also have a choice between FWD, or available twin-clutch, decoupling AWD.
The Cadillac XT4 will follow the brand’s Y trim level strategy, with a Luxury base model, followed by the Premium Luxury and the Sport. The Cadillac XT4 will also offer two special edition models in Europe, including the Launch Edition, which comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels, satin aluminum silver metallic trim, and FWD, and the Launch Edition Sport, which comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels, gloss-black trim, aluminum sport pedals, clear-lens tail lamps, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop and go functionality, a full-color head-up display, and available AWD.
The Cadillac XT4 features a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel and Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment with rotary controller in the cabin, plus LED lighting outside. The crossover also comes with a wide variety of standard safety features, such as lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, cross traffic alert, and safety alert seat. Comfort features include automatic heated seats front and back, and an automatic heated steering wheel.
Pricing in Germany starts at 42,900 euros ($50,356 at current exchange rates, 09/29/2020) and 47,100 euros ($55,286 at current exchange rates) for the two Launch Edition models, depending on the model variant selected
