We decided to travel with our 2020 XT6 Sport, pulling a small sub 4000 lb. travel trailer, We want to make sure the transmission fluid temperature does not exceed operating temperature while towing. The XT6 on line owner’s manual provided the solution: The Infotainment Thumb Wheel on the right hand of the steering wheel has a position that shows: Transmission Fluid Temperature in either degrees Celsius (°C) or degrees Fahrenheit (°F). (It also has positions showing Coolant Temperature and Engine Oil Temperature) Transmission fluid of 180 Degrees F to 210 Degrees F is a normal range. Do not exceed 224 Degrees F. To achieve lower fluid temperature reduce speed. Before turning off an engine run the engine until the transmission fluid temperature is 210 degrees or lower. (Online XT6 Owners Manual PP 129-131)
