Platform

The 2022 CT5-V continues to ride on the Alpha 2 platform, otherwise written Alpha II. The Alpha 2 platform is a General Motors vehicle architecture designed to underpin compact and mid-size vehicles with a longitudinal front-engine, rear-drive configuration. The platform is a successor to the first generation Alpha architecture, or Alpha 1.

It is the same chassis the underpins the first-generation Cadillac CT4.

Price

Pricing for the 2022 CT5-V in the United States is expected to remain similar to the current starting price of the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V model, which is $48,690 in the rear-wheel drive configuration.

Availability

The 2022 CT5 is expected to enter the market by the end of Q3 2020.

As Cadillac Society reported, the performance-inspired CT5-V model will not be sold in China, but may enter Mexico, Middle East and Russia.

Debut

The Cadillac CT5 made its debut in 2019.
