The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will see changes to its trim level naming, doing away with the numerical nomenclature in favor of more familiar designations for Cadillac customers.
To recap, “regular” Lyriq models (non Lyriq-V) are available in Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Luxury 3, Sport 1, Sport 2, and Sport 3 trim levels. For 2026, those same trim levels will be renamed to Luxury, Premium Luxury, Signature Luxury, Sport, Premium Sport, and Signature Sport. Aside from the names, the trim level structure and their respective feature remain the same. The high-performance Lyriq-V, which is treated as a separate model when it comes to trim levels, will continue as is.
The Lyriq isn’t the only Cadillac model to adopt new trim levels, with the 2026 Escalade and Escalade IQ also shifting to new trims.
Other than new trim names, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will remain mostly unchanged. At this time, it seems the only other changes are an upgraded AKG Studio audio system for upper trim levels as well as the addition of the Vibrant White Tricoat as a new color option, replacing Crystal White Tricoat. This means the same standard single-motor (for RWD models) and available dual-motor (for AWD models) remain available with ranges of 326 miles and 319 miles, respectively.
Those interested in the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq should know that dealers are currently able to take orders, with production scheduled to begin on July 28th, 2025.
For reference, the Lyriq is built alongside the Cadillac Vistiq at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. Notably, the plant will handle production of the gasoline-powered XT5, which was previously expected to be discontinued after the 2025 model year along with the XT6.
