Earlier this year, Cadillac Society told you that Cadillac will update the XT6 three-row crossover SUV later this year in China. That moment is now upon us, with Cadillac finally pulling the covers off the 2025 Cadillac XT6 for the Chinese market. The refreshed XT6 will be shown to the general public this week at the 2024 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, or Auto Guangzhou.
The 2025 Cadillac XT6 retains the exact same design launched over five years ago with minimal changes. The changes are limited to a new blacked-out appearance package, a single six-passenger seating configuration with improved seats, a new infotainment screen, and a lower price to make it the best value in its class.
Blacked-out trim is now applied to all variants for 2025, along with new Carbon Gray multi-spoke alloy wheels and monochromatic Cadillac badges. With no other exterior tweaks, the 2025 XT6 is the most dated utility vehicle in the marque’s luxury lineup.
TheChinese-market XT6 will continue to be powered by the automaker’s turbocharged 2.0L inline-four cylinder engine (production code LSY) mated to a 48V mild hybrid system, good for 250 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Production will continue to take place at the Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai.
Reservations for the refreshed 2025 Cadillac XT6 are now open via Cadillac’s website and dealer network in China, with launch set for November 15th during opening ceremonies of 2024 Auto Guangzhou. More details surrounding the 2025 Cadillac XT6 will be announced at launch.
As of this writing, we’re not aware of any plans to bring the updated XT6 to North America.
