The North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle Of The Year (NACTOY) recently announced its picks for the Best of 2025 list, with the Cadillac Celestiq landing a spot among this year’s selections.
A total of 25 vehicles were picked for the Best of 2025 list, which recognizes models that perform well in several categories, including design, safety, performance, technology, user experience, driver satisfaction, and value. Vehicles were examined by 50 veteran automotive journalists who produce a variety of media across the U.S. and Canada.
The Cadillac Celestiq was recognized as one of the most outstanding North American Cars of the Year. It’s one of 10 vehicles in the division, joining the likes of the BMW 3 Series, BMW M5, Dodge Charger EV, Fiat 500e, Honda Civic Hybrid, Kia K4, Mercedes-AMG E Class, Porsche Panamera, and Toyota Camry.
In October, the jurors will convene to narrow down the list to the best vehicles in each category. Once all evaluations are complete, votes will be cast and the three finalist vehicles in each category will be selected. The finalists will be announced on November 21st, 2024. The winners will be announced on January 10th, 2025 at the Detroit Auto Show.
“We have a great variety of vehicles on the list, from the sporty to the family sedan,” said Jeff Gilbert, NACTOY president and the automotive reporter for WWJ Newsradio 950. “This list is an example of the great products that the auto industry is producing, from cutting edge electric vehicles to traditional gasoline powered cars and trucks, but also hybrids, which are a growing share of the market.”
As a reminder, the Cadillac Celestiq rides on a variant of the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform and harnesses a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive propulsion system, which provides 300 miles of driving range on a single charge while delivering 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. It is assembled almost entirely by hand at the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. The first units, which will be 2025 model year vehicles, began production in January 2024.
