Entering the third model year of the luxury crossover’s first generation, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq features a handful of updates and changes compared to its 2024 model year counterpart. Among these enhancements is the addition of 100 new interior ambient lighting colors, Cadillac Society has learned.
That means that the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq dual-zone interior ambient lighting feature (production code C70) now offers an expansive palette of 126 colors. For reference, both the 2023 and 2024 models only offered 26 colors, except for the now-deleted Tech trim, which did not offer ambient lighting at all.
The dual-zone interior ambient lighting feature is standard on all 2025 Cadillac Lyriq trims, which includes Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Premium Luxury 1, Premium Luxury 2, Sport 1, and Sport 2. It’s also worth noting the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, and 2025 Cadillac Optiq also offer 126 shades of ambient lighting. However, for the Optiq, the feature is exclusive to the Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims.
Another notable change on the way to the 2025 Lyriq pertains to an increase in horsepower. Rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variants get 365 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, up from 340 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive (AWD) models boast 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, an improvement over the prior model’s 500 horsepower. Notably, torque ratings for both models remain the same.
Additionally, the luxury marque has decreased the number of parts the 2025 Lyriq uses by 24 percent, reigning in costs by reducing complexity.
In the absence of the Tech trim, the Lyriq Luxury 1 in RWD guise is the new base model, which starts at $59,990. Opting for all-wheel-drive bumps the price of the Luxury 1 to $63,490. The most expensive trim is still Sport 3, which now starts at $68,890 with RWD and $72,390 with AWD.
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform while production is handled at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for North American markets.
Models include V-series sedans as well as the Escalade-V.
