As recently reported by Cadillac Society, production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V will be ramped up to meet demand. But that’s not the only vehicle in the Escalade line that will see higher levels of production. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum will follow suit with ramped-up output to maintain sufficient supply levels of the popular full-size luxury SUV.
Cadillac officially revealed that production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum, which is on the higher end of the luxury marque’s Y-trim level strategy, will increase compared to previous years’ figures at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas.
However, it’s worth noting that the increased production of the Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum will come at the expense of the base 2025 Escalade Luxury, which is the lowest-tiered trim in the lineup. This decision makes sense given that buyers of the Escalade typically opt for more well-equipped models with more features and options.
Changes on deck for the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade line are highlighted by revamped front lighting elements, including thin upper lighting signatures and tall vertical headlight clusters on either side of the front fascia. This setup mirrors that of the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ, and includes a backlit Cadillac crest front and center.
Inside, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade boasts a generous 55-inch curved interior display composed of a 35-inch driver display paired with a 20-inch front passenger display. This was lifted right from the Celestiq and Escalade IQ, creating design congruity across the luxury marque’s lineup.
Under the hood, the sole engine option for the “regular” 2025 Escalade – including the Escalade Sport Platinum – is the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code L87), which is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The turbodiesel 3.0L I6 engine (production code LM2) has been eliminated from the lineup, as was first reported by Cadillac Society.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade continues to ride on the T1 platform, and production will is scheduled to commence in late 2024 at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas.
