Cadillac Escala Concept Car Rendered As A Coupe

The Cadillac Escala concept car – not to be confused with the Cadillac Escalade – is a concept vehicle revealed at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. While it never made it to production, it served as inspiration for the CT5 luxury sedan, and its bloodline can also be seen in the all-electric Cadillac Celestiq. Now, Cadillac Society took the Escala a step further, rendering what the luxury sedan concept might have looked like if it were made into a coupe.

Our rendering artists slashed two doors from the Cadillac Escala, shortening its profile to accommodate a coupe silhouette. That said, we kept its long, low-slung hood and squared-off rear end, the bright trim that accents the grille, daytime opening (DLO), and tail lights, creating visual contrast throughout the make-believe luxury coupe’s exterior.

Interestingly, our Cadillac Escala coupe rendering bears a strong resemblance to the real-life Celestiq, particularly in the slope of its rear end. The Celestiq features a fastback-like profile, though it’s classified as a four-door sedan. In fact, way back in 2021, we borrowed the Escala concept to make our initial renderings of what we supposed the Celestiq would look like, and we weren’t too far off the mark, if we do say so ourselves.

Additionally, it’s difficult not to draw comparisons between our Cadillac Escala coupe and the Expressive Coupe design study. Sadly, this model never made it to production, although it would have made for a great CT5 coupe.
