Cadillac Escalade 25th Anniversary Edition Now Available In Japan

The Cadillac Escalade nameplate turns 25 years old in 2024, and to commemorate the milestone anniversary, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade 25th Anniversary Edition has launched in Japan.

This special edition Escalade will have an extremely limited run in Japan – just 15 units will be built. Based on the regular-length Escalade in the Sport trim level, the special edition model is dressed in Galactic Gray Metallic (paint code G6M), the first time the color has been offered in Japan. It features monochromatic Cadillac crests and blacked-out Escalade script all around. The sinister exterior is complimented by a full Jet Black semi-aniline leather interior, completing the dark, rich look.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade was first introduced for the 1999 model year as the luxury marque’s answer to the similarly sized Lincoln Navigator. The Escalade quickly gained popularity in the U.S. market and rose to the top of the sales charts, a position that it has held to this day. Beyond the U.S. market, the Escalade has solidified its position as a popular choice among celebrities and entrepreneurs, including in Japan and other global markets.

The 2024 Cadillac Escalade 25th Anniversary Edition began arriving at dealers in Japan on June 27th, 2024. Its MSRP is 18,100,000 yen, roughly equivalent to $112,680 USD at the current exchange rate.

It’s also worth noting that Japanese customers go to great lengths to purchase the Escalade, given that it’s sold as a left-hand-drive model in a right-hand-drive market.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will bring a welcome refresh to the wildly popular model. This includes an overhauled front end, with the new fascia set to to feature a new set of headlights divided between a set of thin, horizontally-oriented lights just beneath the seam of the hood, which will serve as the turn signals or hazard indicators. Below these will be a vertically-oriented housing containing the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the outside part of the cluster, and the actual headlights inside the same cluster. Inside, the luxury SUV will gain a coast-to-coast (or pillar-to-pillar) interior display similar to that of the Escalade IQ and Cadillac Celestiq. Production of the model will kick off at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas in Fall 2024.

The Cadillac Society Podcast recently detailed the upcoming 2025 Escalade refresh front bow to stern, which you can watch and listen in the video below.

  1. 18,100,000 yen is a bargain?
