Cadillac Mexico sales decreased 29 percent to 90 units in May 2024 compared to May 2023.
Individual model sales performance was as follows:
- Cadillac CT4 sales have not yet commenced in Mexico
- Cadillac CT5 sales have not yet commenced in Mexico
- Cadillac Escalade sales decreased 28.87 percent to 69 units
- Cadillac Lyriq sales totaled 7 units
- Cadillac XT4 sales decreased 71.43 percent to 4 units
- Cadillac XT5 sales decreased 37.5 percent to 10 units
- Cadillac XT6 sales have not yet commenced in Mexico
During the first five months of the 2024 calendar year, Cadillac Mexico sales increased 1.90 percent to 486 units.

The Cadillac Society Take
Cadillac Mexico sales suffered another drop in May, recording a double-digit decline in sales volume that represents 37 fewer deliveries than the same month during the 2023 calendar year. As such, last month’s poor performance represents the second consecutive monthly decrease in Cadillac Mexico sales, which started the calendar year in the green.
In May, all Cadillac Mexico models were in the red, with the Cadillac XT4 declining by as much as 71 percent. The drop during the month was led by lower sales of the best-selling Cadillac Escalade, which lost nearly 30 units on a year-over-year basis. Still, the iconic full-size SUV maintained its position as Cadillac’s best-selling vehicle and the absolute leader of its segment in the country.
Meanwhile, the new Cadillac Lyriq added a modest seven units to the brand’s bottom line for the month. Although the all-electric crossover is still not a standout in the Mexican market from a commercial standpoint, the result represents an improvement compared to prior months, and is the second best monthly record for the Lyriq so far this calendar year, after the 12 deliveries recorded in February.
