Here’s What The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Would Look Like In NASCAR

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is one of the last sedans standing within parent company General Motors’ vehicle portfolio, which potentially sets the stage for a scenario when it comes to motorsports. Currently, GM races a Nascar-specific Chevy Camaro ZL1 in the NASCAR Cup Series, but as first reported by our sister publication, GM Authority, the Camaro wrapped up production last year, meaning its run in NASCAR may not be long-lived. That could open the door for a super sedan like the CT5-V Blackwing to take its place, and Cadillac Society took a shot at rendering a NASCAR-ready version of the ultra-high-performance luxury sedan. 

Based on the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, our hypothetical NASCAR-going luxury sedan is a Next Gen stock car, which was first introduced to Cup Series competition in 2022. Its front fascia features a set of decals representing the brand-new, vertically-stacked headlights found on the updated CT5 range, along with uninterrupted lighting signatures running down either side of the front end. Its five-point grille sports chrome surrounds framing a black “mesh” grille decal, concealing the race car’s functional intakes, with a Caddy crest front and center. 

Out back, we’ve given our NASCAR Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing squared-off quarter panels that closely match the boxy sculpt of the street legal version. Vertical boomerang-style taillights cling to either corner of the rear fascia, and we kept its chrome trim on the rear deck lid to keep it true to its real-life counterpart. Also note the V-Series Cadillac Racing livery, carrying the same colors as the V-Series.R race cars that compete in IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship. 

Unfortunately, it’s not likely that the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will ever see NASCAR competition. The sport is currently working on a crossover-SUV stock car body that will eventually replace its current sedan-like vehicles. Moreover, Cadillac Racing has its hands full with IMSA and WEC, which is more representative of its target audience anyway. Even so, the CT5 would be an enticing competitor to watch on the asphalt oval tracks (and road courses) of North America.
