The 2025 Polestar 4 was revealed in April at the 2024 New York International Auto Show, bringing the sporty electric crossover coupe stateside just in time to go head-to-head with the forthcoming Cadillac Optiq.
The Polestar 4 is the automaker’s second crossover offering, slotting between the Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of overall size and price. Highlights include 20-inch five V-spoke black diamond cut alloy wheels as standard, along with a panoramic glass roof, adaptive cruise control, 360 parking camera with 3D view, an energy saving heat pump, illuminated Polestar insignia at the front, e-latch doors, a power operated tailgate with soft close, wireless phone charging, and an eight-way electrical driver seat along with a six-way electrical passenger seat.
Outside, the Polestar 4 features a sloping, low-slung profile designed for optimal aerodynamics, right down to the low, sharklike nose and sloped rear end. It features retractable door handles and flush glazing with frameless windows, along with rear aero blades. It’s also worth noting that the vehicle does not feature a rear windshield; instead, visibility is handled by a rear-mounted camera system.
Inside, the electric crossover’s infotainment system is powered by Android Auto, accessible by a 15.4-inch tablet-style infotainment screen, with Google services built-in.
Two powertrain configurations will be available, including the Long range Single motor and the Long range Dual motor. The Long range Single motor produces 272 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque, with a 102 kWh battery and a range-per-charge estimate of 300 miles. Meanwhile, the Long range Dual motor variant, featuring the Performance Pack, boasts 544 horsepower and 506 pound-feet of torque, enabling a zero to 60 mph time of 3.7 seconds. It features a 102 kWh battery with a 270-mile range.
The Long range Single motor starts at $54,900, while the Long Range Dual motor starts at $62,900.
