A software update to update various onboard modules is now available for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. The update is part of a new Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP), and only applies to the 2023 Lyriq.
The CSP bulletin is tagged with N232428540, and will “improve the customer experience and optimize future over-the-air updates” for the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq. The software updates contained within involve improvements like reprogramming the radio, brake system control module, body control module, headlamp control module, parking assist control module, power steering control module and other components.
It’s important to note that these updates are not able to be performed over-the-air (OTA), and require that the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq be brought to a dealership for installation, which is expected to take a few hours. The luxury marque will reach out to owners with more information regarding the updates.
As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and was assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for all markets except for China. Currently, production of the 2024 Lyriq is well underway.
The 2023 Lyriq was offered with two powertrains. The base single-motor setup features one Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle, lending 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated 312 miles of driving range. The second is a dual-motor AWD setup that adds a motor to the front axle, resulting in over 500 total system horsepower.
The 2023 Lyriq AWD is also eligible for a separate update of its own, as the Velocity upgrade coaxes an additional 74 pound-feet of torque from the all-wheel drivetrain. Unlike the Customer Satisfaction Program, the Velocity upgrade costs extra and is delivered over-the-air, not requiring a visit to the dealer.
