The Cadillac Society Take
The 31 percent increase in March represents the third consecutive month where Cadillac Mexico sales have been in the green. The luxury marque was able to finish the first quarter of the year with positive figures in the Mexican market, despite offering a limited portfolio of vehicles as well as a delay in delivering its newest models to dealers.
The healthy increase in Cadillac Mexico sales during March was led by significant growth in the best-selling Cadillac Escalade, which is the only model in the lineup that saw an increase in sales volume. The iconic full-size SUV once again saw a growth in sales volume thanks to healthy inventory levels locally. Meanwhile, sales of the Cadillac XT5 remained stable at 17 units, flat year-over-year.
The the Cadillac XT4 posted its first delivery so far in 2024, suffering a drastic contraction of 93 percent year-over-year. This is due to the refreshed version of the small crossover not yet going on sale in the Mexican market.
Finally, the new Cadillac Lyriq saw five deliveries last month, representing a notable decline from 12 deliveries in February. The all-electric crossover is seeing a slow rollout across the luxury marque’s dealer network in Mexico.
