As for what makes those wheels roll, the base engine for the Cadillac CT5 is the turbocharged 2.0 L I4, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine (production code LGY) is optional on the Premium Luxury trim, rated at 335 horses and 405 pound-feet of torque. Models with the turbo four are identifable by the 350T badge, while those are badged as 550T. Cadillac’s ten-speed automatic transmission does shifting duty, regardless of engine, with rear-wheel-drive being standard and all-wheel-drive being an option. Under the skin, the CT5 range rides on the luxury marque’s Alpha 2 platform, and the luxury sedan is assembled at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan for North American markets.
It’s worth noting that the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will receive a through refresh, consisting of a new front fascia and an overhauled cockpit with a large, horizontally-oriented screen.
