2024 Cadillac XT5 Adds New Red Accent Package

Three new exterior packages are available for the 2024 Cadillac XT5, including the Blue Accent Package, Bronze Accent Package and Red Accent Package. Below, we delve into what’s offered in the latter, the Red Accent Package.

In order to acquire the Red Accent Package (production code PDK), customers must opt for the 2024 Cadillac XT5 Sport, as it’s not offered on the base Luxury or Premium Luxury trims. The Red Accent Package is an LPO- level (dealer-installed) item, and costs $2,995 to add to the luxury crossover, bundling the following elements (relevant production codes listed in parentheses):

  • Red body decal, LPO (SB9)
  • Monochrome Cadillac emblems, LPO (SFZ)
  • 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO (S2K)
  • Red wheel center cap, LPO (5ZD)
  • Black wheel lug nuts, LPO (SPY)
  • Black wheel locks, LPO (SPZ)
  • Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SPZ)

The Gloss Black wheels included in the package take the place of the standard 20-inch 12-spoke alloy wheels with Pearl Nickel finish (production code Q71).

Aside from the addition of the new trio of new packages, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 doesn’t feature any major changes over its 2023 model year counterpart. It does, however, lose three exterior paint color options, while gaining two new ones, including Emerald Lake Metallic (paint code G61) and Midnight Sky Metallic (paint code GXF).

All engines of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 are carried over from the 2023 model year. That means that the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels continue to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models are identifiable by the 350T badge on the liftgate.

Meanwhile, the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, will be optional on the Premium Luxury trim and standard on the Sport trim. These models can be identified by the 400 badge on the liftgate.

Like all units of the first-gen XT5, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 continues to ride on the C1 platform. The 2024 model entered production at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in June 2023. The luxury crossover will stay the course for at least the 2024 model year before exiting the North American market, indirectly replaced by the Cadillac Lyriq. However, the Chinese market will receive an overhauled XT5.

  1. I don’t like the shift to monochromatic emblems. I certainly wouldn’t pay extra for it. My XT5 is red, and I wouldn’t mind putting those red center caps on my wheels.
