The Cadillac CT5 range – including the high performance CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing – will get a mid-cycle refresh. Initially, this refresh was expected to launch for the luxury sedan’s 2024 model year, but now, Cadillac Society has learned that the impending refresh will launch slightly later.
We’ve kept a close eye on the planned refresh for the Cadillac CT5, reporting exclusive details on what’s in store for not only the “regular” CT5 and CT5-V, but also the CT5-V Blackwing super sedan. The refresh is still on the way, but it will be introduced for either the 2024.5 model year, or the 2025 model year.
Development of the refreshed CT5 is already well underway, as evidenced by several prototypes that we’ve already spied. Key updates to the exterior will be a redesigned front fascia with all-new headlamps, complete with a vertically-stacked internal lighting graphic. Additionally, the vertical lighting signature that brackets the outer edge of the headlamps will be continuous from top to bottom, rather than broken up into two “segments,” as seen on the current, pre-refresh model. Reshaped upper and lower grilles along with new surface development will be present and accounted for, too.
We’ve also spotted a refreshed Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing undergoing testing, showing off its revised lower fascia with modified intakes and confirming the new lighting signatures. Beyond that, however, the CT5 range will retain its current side profile, with no changes to its greenhouse, belt line and rear end.
The interior, however, will feature major updates. As first reported by Cadillac Society back in 2020, this will include the addition of a large, curved interior display from the Cadillac Lyriq that spans the instrument cluster and center infotainment system. The implementation of the screen will necessitate in a revamp of the center stack and various other vehicle controls within the center console.
