2024 Cadillac CT5 Onyx Package Gains Rear Decklid Spoiler

The optional Onyx Package for the Cadillac CT5 bundles a handful of dark-themed exterior accents to lend a sportier, more sinister air to the already spirited luxury sedan. Now, this package includes a spoiler for the 2024 model year to complete the look, Cadillac Society has learned.

The Onyx Package (production code PDB), which is an LPO (dealer-installed) option for the 2024 Cadillac CT5, includes the rear spoiler (production code 5V5) for the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims. Meanwhile, the Sport trim already includes the body-color rear spoiler (production code D52) as standard, meaning that including another spoiler in the Onyx Package for this model would be redundant.

As a reminder, the Onyx Package for the 2024 Cadillac CT5 bundles the following content (relevant production codes listed in parentheses): 

    • 20-inch alloy wheels with Gloss Black finish, LPO (SSJ)
    • Gloss Black CT5 nameplate, LPO (RIK)
    • Black mirror caps, LPO (5JS)
    • Black grille, LPO (5XR)
    • Gloss Black rear license plate applique, LPO (RXX)
    • Monochrome Cadillac emblems, LPO (Luxury only) (SFZ)
    • Gloss Black grille trim, LPO (Luxury and Premium Luxury only) (E5K)
    • Rear spoiler, LPO (Luxury and Premium Luxury only) (5V5)

At this time, pricing for the 2024 Cadillac CT5 Onyx Package has not been disclosed.

As per an exclusive Cadillac Society report, a midcycle refresh is on the way for the Cadillac CT5, although it will likely drop for the 2024.5 model year instead of being available right from the start of the 2024 model year. Notable upgrades include a restyled front end and overhauled interior, among possible powertrain changes. 

As a reminder, the current Cadillac CT5 350T is powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels.

Meanwhile, the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY) is optional on the CT5 Premium Luxury, where it makes 335 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, identifiable by the 550T badge on the decklid. Both engines bolt to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Production occurs at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan for all markets except for China.
