Cadillac recently released some new images of the forthcoming second-generation CT6 before it’s finally revealed in full later today. These new images provide our best look yet at the overhauled, second-gen model’s revamped cabin, which has been a mystery until now.
The most striking feature of the next-generation Cadillac CT6 interior is the massive 33-inch curved 9K OLED display encompassing the gauge cluster and infotainment center, spanning the vehicle’s instrument panel and center stack. The display is powered by the Qualcom Snapdragon 8155 chip for smooth performance, and 5G connectivity will be standard across the board for the forthcoming CT6. This setup, which is reminiscent – if not identical – to that of the Cadillac Lyriq, is much more techn-laden than that of the first-generation CT6.
The Cadillac CT6 will debut later shortly, and will launch during the second quarter of 2023 in China. The model will continue to be built at the Jinquiao Cadillac China plant. At this time, we are not aware of any plans to offer the next-gen CT6 outside the Asian country. As a reminder, the first-gen CT6 was discontinued for the North American market back in 2020.
Under the hood, the current-generation Cadillac CT6 harnesses the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) in China, which produces 233 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated exclusively to the luxury marque’s 10-speed automatic transmission. We expect the next-gen CT6 to retain this powertrain.
