Cadillac has issued a Service Update for certain units of the 2023 Cadillac XT6 to address an issue with a potential split in the outer body panel.
The problem: certain units of the 2023 model year Cadillac XT6 may have a split in the outer body panel above the left hand rear window. The split will likely occur in a recessed area of the sheet metal directly above the glass to body seal.
The hazards: if there is a split in the outer body panel, it can allow moisture to accumulate.
The fix: dealerships will inspect the outer body panel, and if necessary, remove the glass, weld and paint. The rear quarter panel will then be repaired.
Affected components:
Affected vehicles: 2023 Cadillac XT6.
Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac has not indicated how many units of the XT6 may have been affected by this issue.
