Service Update Released For Cadillac XT6 Body Panel Split

Cadillac has issued a Service Update for certain units of the 2023 Cadillac XT6 to address an issue with a potential split in the outer body panel.

The problem: certain units of the 2023 model year Cadillac XT6 may have a split in the outer body panel above the left hand rear window. The split will likely occur in a recessed area of the sheet metal directly above the glass to body seal.

The hazards: if there is a split in the outer body panel, it can allow moisture to accumulate.

The fix: dealerships will inspect the outer body panel, and if necessary, remove the glass, weld and paint. The rear quarter panel will then be repaired.

Affected components:

  • Outer body panel
  • Left hand rear quarter panel window

Affected vehicles: 2023 Cadillac XT6.

Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac has not indicated how many units of the XT6 may have been affected by this issue.

Next steps: owners of an affected Cadillac XT6 will be contacted with instructions to make an appointment with a dealership to have the vehicle repaired. Additionally, owners can contact Cadillac directly with any questions using the information included below.

Contact information:

  • Service Update number: N222387720
